Chamundi Machine Tool Accessories, known as CMTA, is a precision engineering and manufacturing solutions company based at HMT Industrial Estate, Bengaluru. It operates as an ancillary to HMT Ltd. and manufactures precision engineering components, CNC tool holders, live centres, dead centres, test mandrels, balancing mandrels, jigs and fixtures, and undertakes precision cylindrical grinding job work.

The establishment story, founding year and milestone timeline will be published here once confirmed by CMTA's leadership. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with an approximation.

Customers who bought tool holders started asking about the component the holder could not fix. Then about the fixture that would make the operation repeatable. Then about the machine that would take a repetitive job off an expensive CNC.

Answering those questions, one at a time, is what turned an accessories manufacturer into an engineering partner.
