Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They are used to remember things between page views — for example that you are signed in — and to collect statistics about how a site is used.
Similar technologies such as local storage can serve the same purposes, and where we use them this policy applies equally.
These are required for the administration area used by CMTA staff. They are not set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site, and the site cannot function securely without them.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are read, which lead to enquiries, and where visitors arrive from. We use it in aggregate and not to identify individuals.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser allows this, and blocking analytics cookies will not prevent you from reading this site or submitting an enquiry.
Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites.
CMTA is reviewing whether a consent mechanism is required before analytics cookies are set, in light of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. This section will be updated when that review concludes.
We have stated this openly rather than implying a consent position we have not yet established.
If we add or remove cookies, this policy will be updated. The review date at the top of the page shows when it was last considered.
