CMTA

The case for CMTA, without the superlatives

Every supplier claims quality, service and competitive pricing. Here is what is actually different about working with CMTA, and where we would tell you to go elsewhere.

  • Engineering, not just machining
  • Claims published only when evidenced
  • One accountable partner
Section A-AEngineered rather than catalogue supply

Best for

Vendor development and supplier comparison

You send

A trial requirement, ideally a real one

You get back

A demonstration of how the review actually works

How it starts

Start with one job before committing a programme

01

The risks this is designed to reduce

  • A supplier who machines the drawing but never questions it
  • Tooling that matches a catalogue but not your application
  • Managing several vendors for one finished part
  • Imported items with unpredictable cost and lead time
  • Promises made at quotation and quietly missed at delivery
02

Engineering rather than order-taking

CMTA starts from the application and designs what it needs, with drawing approval before manufacture. If the review shows that tooling will not fix your problem — that the real cause is a worn spindle, an unstable fixture or a process issue — you will be told that instead of sold a holder.

03

One component to an integrated solution

Tool holders, components, fixtures, SPMs and retrofit from one engineering partner, coordinated where a project needs several, with responsibility never divided ambiguously.

04

Localisation and reverse engineering

Imported and obsolete items reproduced from sample or drawing, leaving you with a documented local source and a drawing you own.

05

Responsiveness and honest dates

An engineering review of every enquiry, realistic timelines stated up front, and priority for genuine urgencies. Delivery performance figures will be published here when they have been verified — until then, judge us on a job.

06

Where we would send you elsewhere

High-volume commodity turning where price per thousand is the only criterion. Processes we do not perform and cannot properly coordinate. Approvals we do not hold. Saying so early costs a quotation and saves a relationship.

07

Cost, quality and lifecycle value

CMTA aims to be competitive, but the case rests on parts that fit first time, tooling that runs at full parameters and machines that keep working. That is where the money actually is.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions engineers and buyers ask before sending a drawing. If yours is not here, ask it directly — you will get an engineer's answer, not a brochure.

Still have a question?

Talk to Anita M.N, Managing Partner, or send the drawing and let the review answer it.

How is CMTA different from a standard job-work vendor?

CMTA engineers the solution: application review, design and drawing approval, coordinated processes, inspection and support — rather than only machining what is sent.

Does CMTA take low-volume custom jobs?

Yes. Single pieces and small batches are a normal part of the work.

Can CMTA coordinate multiple processes?

Yes, as a single point of technical responsibility, with coordinated processes labelled as coordinated.

How does CMTA protect confidential drawings?

Drawings are used only for your order, stored in private storage accessible to engineering, and NDAs are signed where appropriate.
